Visiting hours are flexible and are generally from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The front door is locked at 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, and for 24 hours on weekends and holidays. We ask that any visitors who are ill please delay their visit until after the illness has passed.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises or grounds of the home, except for the designated outdoor area that is for residents only. Resident rooms are equipped with smoke/sprinkler detectors that are connected with the central fire alarm system.
In addition to its fire plan, the home has also developed an earthquake/disaster preparedness program, complete with emergency supplies for staff and residents for up to three days.
The building is equipped with a wander alert system, which is activated by a bracelet worn by those residents who require it. If the use of a bracelet is deemed appropriate for a resident, a department manager will contact the family to discuss it.
We have also implemented a mandatory hand-washing program at The Royal Arch Masonic Home, for the safety of our residents.
Residents who are able to manage a key will be issued one for their room door.
Visitors to the home are required to sign in/identify themselves.
Pets are welcome to visit if they are on a leash, but are not permitted in the kitchen and dining room areas.
